Naïve am I

Water dances across my eyes

Red dry and bloodshot.

I was dead when my heart fluttered

Cold, faithless, and devoid

I was hurt when I was happy’

Deceit, avarice, and vengeance.

Take me away

Naïve am I

Plaguing Ignorance

Ignorance is the plague

That ravages the human race

And invisible red flag

That is ignored by the human face.

Ignorance is the bottomless,

The bottomless unknowing,

The incomplete that is endless.

Disease that is uncontrolled.

Without fear,

Ignorance would not be

With knowledge,

Ignorance would not be

Without hate

Ignorance would not be

With unconditional love

Ignorance would flee

Without apathy

Ignorance would not be

And with truth

Ignorance would not be

Without injustice,

Ignorance would not be.

With peace

Ignorance would not be a defeat

These letters may not reach,

The purpose is not to preach,

But for the whole of us,

Love is a must.

Creation of hope,

Creation of unity

With all of us,

Ignorance would be impeached.

My Post on this Blog

This blog is mainly my poetry blog. I will post poetry and personal quotes, I created, on this blog. It is up to you to like it or not. Post comments as you see fit. Constructive criticism is welcome but unmitigated, immature, and unfounded comments will be dealt with in the same manner I request. There will be no disrespectful discourse on this blog. Express opinions as though you were expressing them to a loved one. Otherwise, enjoy!
